Geographic Information Systems
(GIS)
Ferber Engineering Company, Inc. utilizes GIS to enhance
our water resources capabilities by allowing us to use
various digital products to more efficiently analyze
large watersheds and to utilize federal and state
generated data in our designs and studies. The GIS also
has enabled Ferber Engineering Company, Inc. to complete
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) digital Flood
Insurance Studies. It has also enhanced capabilities to
provide mapping for the City of Rapid City Metropolitan
Planning Organization projects.
